EXECUTIVES IN SOUTH AFRICA MEET FOR ZAMBIA BUSINESS FORUM

PRETORIA- MONDAY, 31ST  OCTOBER, 2016 – SEVERAL business executives from entities with interest in Zambia will gather in Johannesburg, South Africa on Thursday this week, for a business forum that has been organised as a platform from which to market Zambia’s investment potential.
Zambia’s Minister of National Development, Mr. Lucky Mulusa will be the guest of honour at the event dubbed; ‘Invest in Zambia Business Forum’.
Other speakers will be Zambia’s High Commissioner to South Africa, His Excellency Mr. Emmanuel Mwamba; Head of Business Development for Liberty Zambia, Mr. Michael Njapau; Head of Business Development for STANLIB, Mr. Branden Alexander; Chairperson for the Zambia Energy Forum, Mr. Johnstone Chikwanda; Head of Business Development for the Development Bank of South Africa, Mr. Davis Pwele, and Regional Representative for FMO, Southern Africa, Mr. Ewout Van der Molen.
The rest are Chief Executive Officer for Barclays Africa Region, Ms. Mizinga Melu; Head of the Africa Unit of the Industrial Development Corporation of South Africa, Mr. Thokoane Tsolo; Chief Executive Officer for the South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Alan Mukoki; Ms. Lerato Mataboge from Trade Invest Africa in the South African Department of Trade and Industry, and Chairperson of the Zambia-South Africa Business Council (ZSABC), Mr. Charles Kalima.
With the fresh mandate that has been given to the Patriotic Front Government, the Forum signifies the beginning of a new chapter for Zambia and wants to communicate to the world that indeed Zambia is open for business.
The presence of senior government and regulatory authority officials at the Forum, is intended to demonstrate Zambia’s renewed commitment to economic partnerships, not only with the South African government, but with business entities as well.
The Forum, which has been organised by the Zambian High Commission in Pretoria and the ZSABC will be held at Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg.
