Pretoria – 8th August, 2015 – FORMER Zambian President, Mr. Rupiah Banda has congratulated Zambia’s High Commissioner Designate to South Africa, His Excellency Emmanuel Mwamba on his appointment pointing out that South Africa was one of Zambia’s most important partners. The former President who gave a brief account of his experience when he served in the diplomatic service during the reign of Dr. Kenneth Kaunda encouraged Mr. Mwamba to focus on attaining the goals that the country has set.
Mr. Banda was speaking at O.R. Tambo International Airport on 8th August, 2015 when Mr. Mwamba went to see off the former republican President and his wife, Mrs. Thandiwe Banda. Mr. Banda and family were returning to Zambia.
