PRESIDENT LUNGU RETURNS TO LUSAKA AFTER SUCCESSFUL MEDICAL ATTENTION

PRETORIA – Sunday, 15th March, 2015 – PRESIDENT Edgar Lungu returned to Lusaka on Sunday, 15th March, 2015 after undergoing treatment at a Pretoria hospital. The President left South Africa through Lanseria International Airport at about 15:00 hours (South African time). He was seen off by State House Deputy Minister, Mr. Mulenga Sata; Zambia’s High Commissioner to South Africa, His Excellency Mr. Muyeba Chikonde; Chief Director for Southern Africa in the Department of International Relations and Cooperation in South Africa, Mr. Edward Makaya and other staff from the High Commission.

President Lungu was accompanied by First Lady, Mrs. Esther Lungu; his Special Assistant for Press and Public Relations, Mr. Amos Chanda and other government officials.

The President has since arrived in Zambia and resumed his official duties.
