Zambia’s High Commissioner to South Africa, His Excellency Emmanuel Mwamba has called on Africa to accelerate infrastructure development corridors to promote regional trade and integration.
Ambassador Mwamba was speaking in Cape Town where he was among those that participated in a high level dialogue to commemorate Africa Freedom Day in South Africa.
The Dialogue was held at the Westin Hotel in Cape Town and was broadcast live on SABC Channel 404 and various radio stations.
On the panel of the Africa Day Dialogue, Mr. Mwamba was with Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Maite Nkoana-Mashabane and Chairpersonof the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on International Relations, Siphosezwe Masango.
Mr. Mwamba discussed the importance of regional economic integration and need to develop Africa’s corridors of infrastructure related to roads, rail, waterways, aviation, ports and telecommunication.
Mr .Mwamba also urged Africa to localize and implement the African Union (AU) Agenda 2063.
He also called on the decolonization of the education sector to ensure that it fostered entrepreneurship, skills and innovations
