Zambia’s High Commissioner to South Africa Mr Emmanuel Mwamba Has urged the Senior National soccer Team not to feel discouraged by losing the finals of the COSAFA Castle Cup.
Mr Mwamba said the Team put up a splendid performance through out the tournament despite losing to Zimbabwe 3_1 in the final game.
Speaking when he presented his solidarity message to the team after the game,Mr Mwamba encouraged the Team to remain focused.
He said Zambia was still a Football giant on the African continent as such there was need to maintain the good name by posting positive results
Mr Mwamba observed that the COSAFA Championship was an eye opener both to the coaching bench and the players in the building process of a permanent team..
He also congratulated Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) for the good job the Association was doing in making Zambia maintain the good footballing name.
Mr Mwamba led A delegation of officials from the Zambian High Commission in Pretoria and other Zambian residents to give support to the National Soccer team in the just ended COSAFA Tournament which was hosted in Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rusternberg South Africa
